MP Williams announces Canada Summer Jobs Program is Finalized for Bay of Quinte

The Federal Government has announced the successful applicants for the 2022 Canada Summer Jobs Program. Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams says today’s announcement will bring a total of $1,702,285 in funding for area employers. MP Williams says “We know many local businesses have been hard hit over the past 2 years. This funding for summer staff will provide a much-needed boost for local wineries, trades, non-profits and seasonal businesses.”

The Canada Summer Jobs program is a yearly program that provides wage subsidies to employers from the not-for-profit and public sectors and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years. The CSJ program works with the office of the local Member of Parliament to make sure it meets the needs of the local community. MP Williams is pleased to say that a total of 223 organizations and businesses will receive funding this year for 533 jobs in our Bay of Quinte region. MP Williams says “My team in the Belleville office is in the process of notifying all success applicants about the funding. Service Canada will then follow up in writing in the coming weeks.”
